Planting

Lilies thrive in well drained soil. Too much water can damage the bulb. Whether you're planting directly in the ground or potting, mix soil with bark, cinder or granulated soil.

Plant lilies in groups of three and space them about 8 inches apart and 6 inches deep. Lilies prefer full sunlight.

Arena lily

Lilies need very little maintenance. Check on your lilies every 2-3 days and make sure they are getting enough sunlight and water.

As the stems and leaves start to develop, increase the amount of water you give them. The closer they are to blooming, the more nutrients they will require.
